Venue Hire – St Ann’s Church

St Ann’s is an idea location to host concerts, special events and graduations. It is centrally located in the heart of Dublin, well-connected to public transport, and has great acoustics for classical music performance.

We host many choral, small ensemble and chamber orchestra concerts.

The church holds a maximum of 280 people in fixed wooden pews, and event organisers can only use the ground floor.

Things to note:

  • No alcohol is permitted in the body of the church.
  • St Ann’s church is wheelchair accessible, and there is a wheelchair accessible toilet.
  • The hire of the church includes the use of an upright Petrof piano.
  • All performances must be finished by 10.00pm, and the church and hall completely vacated by 10.45pm. If an event over runs this time, an additional charge will be made for each hour or part of an hour after 10.45pm.
  • You will need to provide proof of your own insurance that indemnifies the Select Vestry of St Ann’s and St Stephen’s and the Representative Church Body of the Church of Ireland against all claims arising out of the use of the church, Molesworth Hall, or other rooms. The insurance should include as a minimum Public Liability cover of €6.5 million, and Employers Liability cover of €13 million.
  • In the case of public institutions not having insurance, a letter must be provided in advance confirming that they will hold harmless the church and the RCB from any loss or accident.
  • We do not supply any staging, lighting or sound equipment in the church. It is up to the event organiser to source and pay for any equipment required, and to gain agreement from the church for the time taken to set up and take down this equipment.
  • Events can be live streamed on the church’s YouTube page on request.

Promotion of events is the sole responsibility of the organiser. Although requests may be accommodated to put up a poster on our notice board, or list an event on our website, the church accepts no responsibility to promote events on your behalf.

Grand Piano Charges

The use of the grand piano for any event incurs an additional charge.

Event organisers must not move the piano from the chancel. Event organisers must also organise for the piano to be tuned, at their expense, after their event.

Booking and Payment Terms

No booking is confirmed until a signed cope of the rental agreement is executed by both parties and a non-refundable deposit of 25% is paid and acknowledged.

The balance must be paid within 30 days of the event.
